The HTC One M8 running Windows Phone is official! In case you haven’t heard, there is this mobile device manufacturer out there that makes some rather impressive handsets! HTC has one upped their competition by taking their flagship device into the great unknown…ok, ok Windows Phone 8.1. In the land of premium build quality and all around excellence HTC stand’s on their own with very little competition from their Android based opponents. Today the One M8 moves into a new operating system. Let us all introduce ourselves to the Windows Phone One M8 shall we!

About a month back rumors of an HTC made One M8 running the latest in Microsoft’s Windows Phone starting cropping up in the rumor mill. The details seemed all too familiar though as the previous generation One, the M7 was rumored to suffer the same fate. In the last few weeks however the speculation and leaks surrounding the mysterious device were seemingly never ending. Just yesterday a super clear rendering of the device surfaced. Today however HTC, Microsoft and Verizon have put the rumors to bed and have launched the One M8 Windows Phone. According to the information the only difference between this and the Android variation is a bit of branding and its operating system. You can still expect the premium build quality, metal housing, duos camera and IR blaster. The One for Windows starts with a 5 inch 1080 touch screen that offers up 441 pixels per inch and gives its users complete touchy control over Windows Phone 8.1. Internally it packs in a Qualcomm made Snapdragon 801 system chip that uses a quad core 2.3 GHz processor. Additionally it comes packing 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 128 GB. You can also expect all the details such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, DLNA and NFC connectivity.
